Bethany encapsulated my placenta in December, 2013, following the birth of my third child. This was
the first time I had ever had a placenta encapsulated, and I am so glad I chose to do so! I had read that
placenta consumption could help me avoid or lessen PPD (postpartum depression) symptoms, as well as
giving me an energy boost, and increased lactation.
Bethany picked up my placenta within a few hours of birth, before I had a chance to freeze it, and I
received the pills back (Raw Method) within a very short period of time, along with a special keepsake!
I worried in the beginning that I would find the pills to be “gross” or “stinky,” but once I received them, I
discovered that the placenta pills merely had a natural “outdoorsy” odor, which did not offend my
senses at all! The pills themselves were great – my placenta yielded 278 capsules, and each one helped
me avoid PPD (postpartum depression), as well as increased my milk supply (which is a big deal for
someone like me who faces low supply issues due to PCOS)!
